Elcan Industries offers powder sieving services for companies down to as fine as 10 microns on an industrial scale while maintaining product integrity and specs. Elcan also offers magnetic separation for material that requires the removal of ferrous contaminants, repacking services, and more. Elcan can also toll blend dry powders at our facility using several different blenders. Elcan has recently introduced a new hammer milling service as well to complement our screening capabilities.
Elcan’s toll manufacturing services do not stop there. Elcan also has a full-scale laboratory for companies with high-value products, but not large quantities. Our lab has a Malvern Mastersizer 3000 for particle size analysis which companies can send in samples to be analyzed on demand. The lab also includes our new state-of-the-art Elbow Jet Air Classifier, which can make fine separations as fine as 1um. The Elbow Jet only requires a small amount of material (<1Kg) to make very precise measurements and is perfect for developmental products. Elcan also has Jet Sieve and ROTAP measurements as well. The lab also features our line of lab-sized Hi-Sifter screeners, which despite their size, still pack a punch and can sieve below 20um.
Toll processing allows companies to get products to their customers without being capitally committed to equipment and staff, while simultaneously leveraging the expertise and equipment of an experienced toller like Elcan Industries. Companies that already have equipment installed can also meet surges in customer demand by engaging in toll manufacturing services. This approach also allows companies to do longer trials on the material before becoming capitally committed to purchasing them.
