5-Way Diverter Distributes CPVC

This five-way Wye Line Diverter manufactured by Vortex Global is being used by a vinyl extruder to handle CPVC. Material flows from one source to five destinations.

CPVC (Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride) is a thermoplastic produced from chlorination of polyvinyl chloride resin.

Previously, this client had to manually switch lines with their old system. The new automated process saves a significant amount of time in their process. The wye line diverters are constructed of 304 stainless steel. A ceramic backing is applied to the high wear areas of the interconnecting tubing to significantly improve the wear life.

Three units were installed and the client is preparing to source a fourth in their facility.
