Fox Valve conducted extensive conveying trials with the actual product at Fox’s test lab. Sieve analysis of the conveyed samples by the customer revealed that it was indeed possible for an eductor to convey the product within acceptable degradation limits.
Fox’s bleed valve arrangement enabled reduction of transport velocity to a surprisingly low level, which resulted in the positive degradation results. A small, 10 HP Rotron blower was selected to drive a 6” sanitary eductor, which handled up to 4500 pounds per hour of product.
