Coperion ZVB Rotary Discharging Valve for Pellets and Coarse-Grained Products Applications

Coperion ZVB Rotary Discharging Valve for Pellets and Coarse-Grained Products Applications
1 May 2021  |
Coperion optimized its ZVB rotary valve. Improvements include the lower overall weight, optimization of the housing wall thicknesses, increased inlet cross section with additional pellet deflecting profiles.

In doing so, an increase in throughput performance of up to 20%. An optimized inlet geometry is provided for gentle and anti-chopping operations. The “anti-chopping” inlet deflects the product into the rotating rotor chambers of the valve and can reduce produce degradation. Furthermore, the transformation of the elongated opening to a pipe connection was integrated in the cast. An additional consequence of the reduction in noise emission is that an adapter piece is no longer required. The ZV valve also now has a pipe connection that meets the standard.
