‘T ZAND – EMT who is a manufacturer of fertiliser blending and bagging equipment in the Netherlands is a major supplier for the industry for more than 30 years.
The company produce the machines in their own manufacturing factory in the village ‘t Zand and EMT also has a global alliance with the company Doyle in the USA, who is also producing blending equipment. EMT has exported their machine technology for the fertiliser blending and bagging industry to more than 60 countries worldwide.
The machine line is based on a weighing process in which there are available different blender system and 20 different bagging systems to serve the industry. All projects will be engineered and constructed by the EMT technical team. The company also installs the machines where all necessary electrical and computer control components will be supplied to the customer. Therefor the machine set up will always be a turnkey project.
Some recent projects are done for customers or described hereunder. For example a fertiliser coating and blending factory in France, where Urea fertiliser product will be treated with an inhibitor with a capacity of 100 ton per hour. This machine line also included a weighcont blender line with a double unit big bag fill system with a capacity of 140 tons per hour. EMT has also installed 3 x stainless steel dust screening lines in this factory in France.
Another project that has been established last year were 4 blender and bagging installations for ATA in Ethiopia. These systems are installed in 4 inland fertiliser distributor warehouses in Ethiopia. There the customer can blend and bag fertiliser with a capacity of 40 tons per hour per line.
General machine description:
All machines are constructed in stainless streel and easy to transport in containers. The blender lines are based on batch blender or continuous lines like the Weighcont where a declining loss in weight blending process is established. These Weighcont Blender lines will have a capacity from 3 till 240 ton per hour and are computer controlled and working fully automatic.
EMT also produces big bag fill systems as well small bag systems. These machines are constructed as fixed machines in a factory or warehouse, but the bagging machine line is also constructed into containers to make the machine set up more flexible. In this way the machines can be transported to the product storage or installed beside ships to transform bulk material into 25-50 kg bags or into big bags.
EMT also produces the transport systems to connect the machine together with elevator chain or belt transport conveyors beside these, there are fertiliser screen, lump crushers, conditioners and coating machines that are part of the machine delivery package.
A complete project that has recently been installed in South Africa at a customer is based on a product intake with screen lines and box distribution conveyors. We also installed a Weighcont Blender line and 2 bagging lines at this customer. For this project EMT has shipped 12 containers of machines to South Africa.
In Thailand we have installed 3 quatro bagging lines with 6 bagging lines and 2 robot palletizing systems. We also supplied conveyors to discharge raw materials from the harbour to the bagging machines at this customer. All constructed in stainless steel with a central factory capacity of 240 ton per hour.
At a customer in the Netherlands we installed a Weighcont Blender line for water soluble fertilisers which are in powder and crystal form. These products are dusty, so EMT has made dust reducing housings above the intake hopper of the Weighcont Blender.
The above mentioned projects are just a brief description of the machine lines EMT has produced. It gives a good idea about the machine construction possibility and just reflects a part of the 500 projects which EMT has done world-wide.
