With an extensive range of machinery available, their test room has been recently set up with a Bulk Bag discharger and Bulk Bag filler mounted on weighing scales in order to accurately replicate a customer process. This not only gives Farleygreene the chance to check product behaviour in an in-line configuration, but also the opportunity to accurately forecast the throughput that can be achieved at the quotation stage in order to decide what options to add to meet customer’s requirement.
The tests are filmed and posted on a private YouTube channel for the customer to view, alternatively Farleygreene are very happy for the customer to trial a machine free for one week in their own premises. They will deliver it to the customer site and ask them to arrange for it to be returned to them after the trial. The hire agreement can be extended at a reasonable weekly rate.
Matt Calow – Applications Design Engineer – comments: “With the equipment we have installed, we have achieved previously unobtainable levels of accuracy on smaller scale tests, whilst also allowing for larger product samples to be tested. Live datalogging has given us the opportunity to assess the throughput rates of our machines and how they change over time with greater granularity, delivering the best possible information to our customers, letting them make better informed decisions. We are also taking this data and feeding it back in to our design process, as part of our continual improvement program.”
