AURORA, IN – The Stedman Machine Company’s Mega-Slam horizontal shaft impactor (HSI) effectively handles large feed sizes – beyond the range of secondary HSI crushers.
The Mega-Slam offers increased feed size capacity with a large feed opening and solid rotor design with 3 or 4 breaker bar rows. It’s engineered for low maintenance and increased production of a marketable cubical product. 100 to 1200 tons per hour capacity depending on feed size, feed rate, operating conditions, desired product output, characteristics of feed material, and equipment configuration. Reduction ratios up to 20:1. Typical applications include limestone, sand and gravel, asphalt, aluminum dross, brick, and shale.
Features simplified interior access to breaker bars, primary and secondary aprons and side liners, maximizing production uptime. Reversible manganese monoblock aprons, and interchangeable 2 or 3-inch thick side liners lower operating costs and requires less inventory. Standard rear apron-spring bridge assembly assures accurate product control with manual or automatic adjustment system. Spherical roller bearings are grease lubricated with double cavity block seals mounted in Stedman’s solid pillow blocks for a positive 360° bearing contact. Full-scale toll processing and testing available.
