The GL rotary airlocks are specially designed for gravity feeding and pneumatically conveying of granular products. The configuration of the body and rotor has been developed specifically to minimize degradation whilst retaining the best possible pocket filling efficiency. The GL valves come in 5 sizes, covering a capacity range from approximately 0.18-2.79 CFR at 100% filling.
Many bulk materials, especially fine powders, are cohesive and do not flow consistently out of the supply hopper during feeding. Such poor flow properties can lead to the formation of rat holes or even material bridges, making it difficult to accurately deliver these materials to the process.
