SPEC Engineering integrates pneumatic conveying systems into complete, custom projects. A recent project, for a Microporous Insulation Production Process, successfully vacuum conveyed lightweight material (4 pcf) and minor ingredients to a mixer for distribution and separation of fibers. Finished material was conveyed to a product storage bin, and a screw auger system and custom gain-in-weight scale system filled the bags with finishing material.

This complete, custom project included the following equipment: bag dump station, vacuum conveyor with discharge hopper, mixer, storage hopper, gain-in-weight feeder, butterfly valve, dust collection unit, dust collection piping and hoods, and controls system.
