Continuous mixers in the Gericke Continuous Mixer (GCM) line from process equipment manufacturer Gericke USA, Somerset, NJ, are offered in heat-resistant designs that accommodate high-temperature processing. Customized as an option, the high heat continuous mixers feature a proprietary, heat-resistant seal design and decoupled motor configuration to create a thermal barrier that concentrates the heat inside the mixing chamber, keeps the external housing safe for the workplace, and operates with peak energy-efficiency. Chemical reactions, melting ingredients, dispersion of multiple components, and other applications requiring mixing or blending at elevated temperatures occur under precise control with internal temperatures as high as 266 degrees F (130 degrees C), or higher as needed.

Proven effective in mixing food, nutrition, chemical, plastic, and pharmaceutical products, the GCM continuous mixers automatically mix multiple liquid and dry input materials of varying temperatures in a non-stop process that runs unattended, 24/7. The automated mixing system consistently meets targets for homogeneity and uniformity at throughputs of up to 150,000 liters/hour and/or 100 tons/hour of dry materials while eliminating the manual steps involved in batch mixing.

The Gericke GCM mixers may be tested at elevated temperatures on fully operating process equipment in the company’s test laboratory. The high-temperature designs may be customized to suit nearly any application.
