“TW Biomass Energy CHP plant project in Yeosu, South Korea, will replace an outdated coal-fired plant with a modern biomass power plant” says SVP Ari Nyrökorpi of BMH Technology. “We are very pleased to be chosen to participate in South Korea’s overall target of achieving 22 % renewable energy in power generation by 2030, and we are eagerly looking forward to delivering our system to TW Biomass Energy CHP plant.”
The delivery includes the design, manufacture and supply of a biomass fuel handling system for recycled wood chips. The system consists of receiving, screening, storage and biomass feeding to boiler silos. BMH Technology has long traditions and a wide reference base in delivering demanding fuel handling systems for wood-based solid biomass to power plants as well as to pulp and paper mills, and this delivery will strengthen BMH Technology’s position in the South Korean market.
“We are pleased to cooperate with BMH Technology, a global fuel handling company,” says Mr. Yong Mann Beyun, the CEO of TW Biomass Energy, and adds, “We expect that our cogeneration power plant will operate with high reliability by applying BMH’s outstanding technology.”
The biomass handling system will be fully delivered to DL E&C Co., Ltd. during 2025.
