To be demonstrated in live action, the Volkmann VS Series vacuum conveyor is to be shown transferring seeds, salt, sugar, flour, berries, and/or other dry, bulk ingredients from one point in the booth to another, automatically, at the press of a button on the control panel. Planned demonstrations include disassembling the vacuum conveyor with no tools for easy cleaning and adjusting the conveyor on the fly to ensure peak efficiency when switching from one ingredient to another ingredient.
Suitable for commercial, wholesale, in-store, and retail bakeries, the automated bakery ingredient handling system replaces manual bag handling with a safer, easier approach that automatically transfers powders, granules, chips, and other ingredients from bags or storage directly into mixers, hoppers, feeders, or other equipment. This sanitary, contained system prevents dust from escaping into the workplace, protects the ingredients from contamination, and promotes a clean, healthy baking operation.
In addition to the conveyor, the company also plans to feature its companion Vibratory Feeder Dosing System, for gently metering ingredients into a mixer or vessel, and its Rip-and-Tip bag dump station, for loading ingredients into the conveying process dust-free. The automated system may be viewed and tested in advance of IBIE in the company’s Bristol, PA test facility.
