The Archimedys product range is now extended to a dosing unit for screw DN32 to 36 mm, right and left, perfectly suitable for small screw replacement. The main uses are for dosing and sampling for process preparation or control.
As many dosing screws are made of steel, often difficult to weld, maintain and expensive, many customers requested Archimedys to create a replacement solution. We have designed a version of modules for food grade and industrial uses. It can also be uses as simple fine powder sampler screw in several process.
Some screws are CNC machined to obtain high geometrical accuracy. The cost of one screw can easily reach 2000 € for DN32, l 300mm. With this new version, as modules are molded with very high reproducibility, the latest delivered as replacement part has costed 150€ for the same results.
It is possible to reuse the existing steel coupling by simple machining it and just readapt a standard 10 mm hex shaft. When locking the screw, you just have to make in minutes a dosing screw.
With Archimedys ™ you don’t need stainless steel anymore. You keep the powerful effect of modular screw for maintenance and reliability without the use of steel.
We have a request and studies to make screws suitable for extruders. We think during 2023 is ready for the market.
