Vacuum conveying systems from process equipment manufacturer Gericke, USA, Somerset, NJ, are available in explosion-proof configurations to permit safe bulk material transfer in hazardous locations. Featuring a fully enclosed design with upgraded hazardous location motors, the Gericke vacuum conveyors safely contain the materials inside to provide a high level of protection in areas where an explosive atmosphere with a cloud of combustible dust is likely to occur or remain present continuously or for long periods of time during normal operation. The conveyors are suitable for installation in NFPA hazardous areas Class II, Division 2 and in ATEX zones 20, 21, and 22.

Ideal for conveying powders, pellets, granules, and other dry materials that generate fine particles, the explosion-proof vacuum conveyors automatically transfer a wide range of food, chemical, pharmaceutical, and other products from storage in bulk bags, drums, and silos to hoppers, feeders, mixers, reactors, and other locations. The versatile conveyors may be operated in a choice of dense phase or dilute phase to accommodate a wide range of materials on the same system.

The powder conveying system may be tested in the company’s New Jersey testing laboratory. Tests may be viewed live in person or online via live stream.
