Process equipment manufacturer Gericke USA, Somerset, NJ (www.gerickegroup.com), has launched a Women in Engineering Group. Founded by Gericke USA Sales Engineer Ta'Shanda Rayne, the Women in Engineering Group was established to support and empower the company's growing team of women involved in engineering worldwide. The new internal organization joins 17 project engineers, sales engineers, and technical support staff in a community focusing on mentorship, continuing education, and professional development in a comfortable, judgement-free environment tailored to how many women often approach training, communication, and problem-solving.

Presenting educational Webinars and other online events, the Gericke Women in Engineering Group brings women together from Gericke facilities in Europe, Asia, North America and South America to discuss underrepresented topics such as navigating regional cultural differences and enhancing soft skills for a smooth, positive customer experience. Ultimately, the professional network aims to attract and retain skilled engineers, promote effective customer engagement, and ensure efficient project execution.

“Women are bringing fresh perspectives and innate capabilities to a field that, historically, hasn’t had very much female representation,” says Rayne. “We’re working to address the changing dynamics in the workplace and I’m grateful to our leadership team for their strong support in demonstrating a company-wide commitment to diversity.”
