Together, the two products form a high performance, single-use package for the contained and sterile transfer of pharmaceutical powders between manufacturing process steps or even facilities.
The multi-site solution is created by combining the new ChargePoint® SUP, a disposable version of the passive mating half of the industry-renowned ChargePoint split butterfly valve (SBV), and the new ChargeBag® PE-S single-use packaging. This new development and application of existing technology means users can take advantage of the benefits of disposable technology without compromising performance by changing the dynamics of the value chain in handling bio-pharmaceutical ingredients within and between facilities.
Constructed completely of FDA and United States Pharmacopeia (USP) Class VI compliant materials, the SUP is both lightweight and cost-effective, delivering containment and sterility assurance whilst eliminating the time and cost associated with cleaning, maintenance, and validation. The HiPure™ ULP7 Linear Low-Density Polyethylene (LLDPE) proprietary film, developed exclusively by ChargePoint Technology, is compliance tested to meet the demands of even the most critical aseptic processing environments, enabling extremely high levels of integrity with optimized purity and robustness characteristics. HiPure™ provides both performance and purity for the safety of products and personnel while its non-migrating anti-static additive ensures the film is statically dissipative.

ChargePoint Technology is also introducing the latest update of its SBV system, Series 3. Featuring a new and improved locking mechanism with intuitive mechanical interlocks, the system is operator friendly and reduces the risk of part wear. On automatic versions, quick release actuators and sensor sockets ensure fast set up and changeover whilst improved access to the main disc seal makes maintenance steps more convenient than ever before.
