The revival of a landmark industrial facility lays the foundation for a new benchmark in the Greek and European bakery industry.

Acmon Systems, a member of Acmon Group and one of Greece’s leading companies specializing in bulk raw material handling, industrial automation and digital transformation solutions, has been awarded a new project by MANNA TSATSARONAKI as part of the company’s investment in the historic Katselis bakery plant.

The project forms part of MANNA TSATSARONAKI’s broader strategic plan to modernize and expand its production capabilities, aiming to develop a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility designed to meet the evolving demands of the food industry and the challenges of tomorrow.

This investment further strengthens MANNA TSATSARONAKI’s position in the bakery products market in both Greece and international markets, reinforcing the brand’s strong identity rooted in the Cretan nutritional tradition while creating the foundations for the expansion of its product portfolio and export activity.

As part of the project, Acmon Systems is responsible for the design and implementation of the new facility’s critical raw material handling infrastructure, including storage silos, pneumatic conveying systems, automated dosing solutions and industrial automation. The integrated solution will provide enhanced production flexibility, full traceability and the capability to efficiently manage a wide range of recipes and product variations, ensuring high productivity, consistent quality and long-term competitiveness.

A Facility with Heritage and a Vision for the Future

The Katselis plant is an integral part of the history of the Greek bakery industry and one of the sector’s most recognizable industrial landmarks. Its revival and modernization represent far more than another industrial investment—they symbolize the meeting point between industrial heritage and the technologies shaping the future of food production.

For Acmon Systems, the project carries even greater significance. Nearly three decades ago, the Katselis facility was among the first major industrial plants where the company developed and implemented its engineering solutions, actively contributing to the modernization of its production infrastructure.

Today, returning to the same facility marks the continuation of a journey that connects different generations of industrial development, engineering expertise and investment. Acmon Systems is once again contributing to the transformation of a facility that forms part of both Greece’s industrial food manufacturing heritage and the company’s own corporate journey.

More Than 25 Years of Partnership and Trust

This new assignment represents the natural continuation of a long-standing relationship built on trust between MANNA TSATSARONAKI and Acmon Systems, spanning more than 25 years.

Throughout this successful partnership, the two companies have collaborated on numerous greenfield projects, production expansions and modernization initiatives, continuously enhancing manufacturing capabilities and strengthening the competitiveness of the Greek food industry.

The evolution of this partnership confirms that successful industrial investments are built not only on technology and equipment, but above all on trust, consistency and a shared long-term vision for the future of manufacturing.
