The ROTO-PACKER® RVT, HAVER & BOECKER’s state-of-the-art rotary packing machine, features up to 16 filling spouts to pack cement, building materials and chemical products into valve bags. The machine can fill between 1,000 and 6,000 bags per hour (17 to 100 bags per minute). In addition to the ROTO-LOCK®, it comes standard with an intelligent ventilation system for an optimal filling process, a Siemens TIA Portal control system, intelligent illumination to indicate operating status and MEC 4.0 weighing electronics specially developed for the needs in the bagging industry.
The ROTO-LOCK®, a specialized shaft-sealed dosing unit, fully closes the gate once a valve bag is packed with material. A rubber interface between the slide gates ensures no dust escapes while the machine rotates, and a new bag is placed on the filling spout. Once the new bag is in place, the process repeats. Because of the rubber interface and dust reduction, the ROTO-LOCK® undergoes less wear and tear than traditional slide gate dosing units. As a result, it cuts back on spare part costs and extends service intervals.
The ROTO-FEED®, an optional airless rotary feeder available for all ROTO-PACKER® models, further reduces dust throughout the feeding process. When paired together, the ROTO-LOCK® and ROTO-FEED® are 70% cleaner than a slide gate dosing system and allow up to 8% faster filling.

The newest ROTO-PACKER generation can be equipped with specialized AI technology, from the QUAT²RO product suite.
QUAT²RO® BAGcheck ends the problem of packing the right products into the wrong bag — a common mistake that leads to millions of dollars in credits. The system scans the empty bag to ensure it matches the product specifications defined by the operator. If the bag that is placed onto the spout is not correct, the packer will not begin the filling process.
QUAT²RO® VALVEcheck offers the ability to increase production by an average of 10% by detecting if the valve of the bag is sufficiently opened to ensure a precise application of the bag. Bags with improper openings will simply be dropped and a new bag retrieved.
QUAT²RO® SEALcheck detects improper bag closures to effectively address the second most common customer complaint. Though the ultrasonic sealing technology of current bags offers high reliability and industry acceptance, several factors such as bag architecture, application time of the ultrasonic welding and product volume in the valve during closure can affect the quality of the seal. By monitoring every bag as it is transported from the packer to the palletizer, SEALcheck can ensure that bags not properly sealed will not leave the facility.
For a fully automated packing line, the ROTO-PACKER® RVT can be paired with the AMICUS® DEPAL Edition, RADIMAT® Bag Applicator and AMICUS® PAL Edition. The AMICUS® DEPAL precisely places empty bags onto the RADIMAT®, which then applies the bags to the ROTO-PACKER® RVT spouts automatically. Once filling is complete and bags are moved to the conveyor system, the AMICUS® PAL Edition automatically palletizes them. This combination streamlines the packing process, reducing manual handling and enhancing packing precision with a fully automated packing line.
