Vertical Blade Classifier Delivers Precise Fine Particle Classification up to 250 TPH

12 Aug 2026  |
The Vertical Blade Classifier (VBC) is a dynamic classifier engineered for fine particle size separation across high-volume industrial processing lines, capable of handling capacities up to 250 tons per hour.

The VBC operates using vertically oriented blades alongside a dynamic separator rotor. Together, they generate a controlled internal air vortex. This spinning action throws heavy, coarse particles outward to the perimeter via centrifugal force, causing the oversized particles to drop back down into the grinding circuit. Fine particles that successfully pass through the rotor are carried out to a cyclone or bag filter.

Operators can easily adjust the separator rotor’s rotational speed to precisely target finished particle sizes ranging anywhere from 5 to 250 microns. VBC technology can be integrated directly into any standard airswept mill system or utilized in the Bradley Windsifter—a stand-alone unit that classifies independent streams of fine and coarse material.
