Although it can withstand high temperature up to 660° F (350° C), it requires minimal maintenance over the life of the valve. The valve contains no polymers or elastomers, which can become problematic at high temperatures. The ductile iron housing reduces the transfer of heat to the air cylinder making it ideally safer for high temperature applications than ordinary valves. The thin profile of the TPV makes it an ideal replacement valve for bulkier bullnose knife gates and butterfly valves. Other features include spring loaded blade guides, double-acting air cylinder, and a standard purge port. The TPV Slide Gate is part of the Titan Series valve line that handles highly abrasive material such as cement, clinker, coal, fly ash, sand, gravel, glass, and limestone.
