Design Innovations to Coperion’s ZVB Rotary Valve
Coperion optimized its ZVB rotary valve design to better handle food and pet food products and maintain sanitary standards.

Improvements include the lower overall weight, optimization of the housing wall thicknesses, increased inlet cross-section and an optimized inlet geometry for fragile food materials such as pet food kibbles, roasted coffee and finished cereals.

The “antichopping” inlet deflects the product into the rotating rotor chambers of the valve and can reduce produce degradation. Ideal applications are loading finished product into big bags or filling finished product packaging lines.
