Short Course: Biomass Operations and Handling Technology
Learn how to identify and resolve common problems when working with problematic biomass materials.

This online course offers delegates the opportunity to discuss biomass handling related issues with experts.

The chosen topics reflect the problems encountered in an industry where the Wolfson Centre consultants have regularly been asked for advice; these include the different material types, their flow properties, and handling equipment requirements; as well as looking at the dangers surrounding self-heating, fire, and explosions.

Dust and degradation, pneumatic conveying, and wear are also discussed before moving on to more technical subjects such as the requirements of equipment for storage and discharge, ship unloading and finally looking at dust control and management.

The course will be held online over 5 x 3 hour sessions and is recommended for Engineers, maintenance personnel, managers, and procurement executives with responsibility for obtaining and operating equipment for handling of biomass in, for example, solid-fuel-fired power stations, ports, waste to energy plants, Biofuel refineries, etc. Manufacturers of said equipment could also benefit by attending.

Places are limited so early registration is recommended. Fees are discounted for multiple registrations and for returning delegates.
