Seminars – bitesize learning in hourly tutorials – watch out for more details

Who should attend?

All courses are written with the industrial engineer in mind.  They are recommended for operators who handle bulk materials daily, for maintenance, Health & Safety officers, plant or equipment designers, and manufacturers, or management of such staff. In fact, anyone who works in the industry involved in the handling and storage of powders, granules, particulates, etc could benefit from attending.

Course objectives

Courses provide delegates with the information to recognize plant issues that may occur and how to avoid them through the use of presentations, case studies and video/hands-on demonstrations. All courses allow time for participants to discuss their own operational issues with the other delegates and presenters. At the end of the course, the delegate will be better equipped to tackle the specific bulk materials handling issues discussed.

The courses are delivered by a team of experts with years of practical experience in dealing with bulk materials handling problems in the workplace.

Prof Mike Bradley has over 35 years of experience in the field, having helped thousands of industrialists overcome their bulk solids handling-related challenges. He specializes in pneumatic conveying-related issues.

Richard Farnish has been working with storing and discharging bulk materials for over 25 years and specializes in powder feed systems and filters.

Dr Baldeep Kaur has been at the Wolfson Centre for four years and specializes in the characterization and transportation of bulk materials.
