Assessment of storage and handling requirements of bulk materials for drawing up specifications and designing hoppers and silos.

Subjects covered include:

  • Detailed design for storage equipment

  • Use of shear cell measurements to design for reliable discharge.

This course is intended to target project engineers involved in the detail specification of bulk handling schemes or design engineers involved in the construction of equipment used for storing bulk materials.

  • Explosion Hazards including ATEX Directives
  • Operation and control of blow tanks
  • System selection and operation.
