Design Innovations to Coperion’s ZV Rotary Valve

Design Innovations to Coperion’s ZV Rotary Valve
2 Jul 2019  |
Coperion optimized its ZV rotary valve and available in sizes from 400-630. Improvements include the lower overall weight, optimization of the housing wall thicknesses, increased inlet cross section with additional pellet deflecting profiles.

In doing so, an increase in throughput performance of up to 20%. An optimized inlet geometry is provided for gentle and anti-copping operations.

The “antichopping” inlet deflects the product into the rotating rotor chambers of the valve and can reduce produce degradation.

Ideal applications are loading finished product into big bags or filling finished product packaging lines.
