SCHLIENGEN – The Dusty was specially developed to reliably monitor clean sides after filters for filter leaks instantly. The Dusty is used in metal channels, where dust particles are detected in flowing gas. The sensor detects all types of dust and has a very simple and fast retrofitting. Typical applications for the Dusty are in the chemical industry.
LUDWIGSHAFEN – A suspension is a heterogeneous mixture of substances comprising a liquid and a solid finely dispersed in it. The simplest option for separating out this solid is sedimentation, in which the suspension is left to stand until the solid particles sink to the bottom and accumulate there. The liquid can now simply be decanted, i.e. poured off.
FELTHAM – Industrial powder coating systems have an average transfer efficiency of around 60 percent, meaning 40% of the powder paint does not adhere to the component being powder coated. However, this powder cannot simply be recycled. Due to contamination collected during the spray process, the powder paint collected from the spray booth must be recovered and screened before it can be used again.
Gemco Valve Project Manager, Jim Lenihan, recently returned from Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil where he supervised the commissioning of a double dump airlock on a vacuum dryer at the start-up of a Soy Protein Concentrate plant there.
LONDON – A Laboratory test sieve is an instrument which is used for the measurement of particle size. In its most common form it consists of a woven wire screen, with square apertures, rigidly mounted in a shallow cylindrical metal frame.
PONTE MOTTA / CAVEZZO – During the last fifty years, WAMGROUP has come to stand for innovation in Bulk Solids Handling technology and equipment tailored for a variety of applications in many industries. Today it is mostly group member, TOREX that plays a worldwide leading role in supplying pneumatic conveying system components for a large number of applications.
SCHLIENGEN – Baffle plates for continuous measurement of bulk flow rates are used in many plants, where solids are handled in the processes. That mechanical technique offers a lot of advantages compared to partial weighing of bulk solids because no more material has to be taken out of the process.
Material handling valves come in all shapes, sizes, varieties, and with hundreds of available options. From rotary valves and knife gate valves to double dump valves and trickle valves the choices are nearly endless.
WUTÖSCHINGEN – Realization of continual quality monitoring of coffee beans by implementing a moisture measurement in the automated bags loading- and unloading system “Copal – C2 bags handling line”. Four moisture sensors detect the water content of coffee beans instantly. Immediate outward transfer of the jute sacks with high moisture values.
REMSCHEID – The requirements of the premixed plaster industry for the production of up to five sharpsized fractions mean dealing with various processes in order to meet the needs of this difficult to screen material. An Italian manufacturer of different grain sizes for well-known producers of premixed plasters approached RHEWUM with the objective of sizing 80 t/h crushed dolomite flour into the fractions 10.0 mm, 3.5 mm, 2.25 mm, 1.6 mm and 1.0 mm.
